PAULINHO SHOULD HAVE MADE IT THREE! Neymar is free down the left as Brazil break against tired Peruvian legs. He squares it centrally for the ex-Tottenham man, who can't convert from point-blank range!
90'
Yotun spreads the ball wide for Advincula, who can't get any change out of Filipe Luis, who has been excellent as per usual on the left side of defence. We're just about to enter two minutes of stoppage time.
88'
Late spell of pressure from the home side, but it's come at exactly the wrong time. This entire stadium has deflated faster than even Bill Belichick could have imagined. You can hear Gareca yelling instructions quite clearly - that's how quiet it is.
86'
Douglas Costa enters the game and replaces Philippe Coutinho.
Substitution Philippe Coutinho Correia Douglas Costa de Souza
SCRAMBLE AGAIN! Peru finally get a free-kick right as Cueva's ball into the box is met with an unconvincing punch from Alisson under severe pressure from an exhausted-looking Guerrero.
84'
Free-kick here for Peru, amd they take some time setting it up from the left-hand side. Cueva hooks it in to the back post and there's an Incas head on it, but once more, the flag is up as at least three attackers strayed beyond the defence before the ball was played.
82'
Willian enters the game and replaces Gabriel Jesus.
No hat-trick for Gabriel Jesus as he's withdrawn for Willian.
81'
Surely no way back now for Peru, whose qualification hopes have taken a damaging blow here on their own patch. Credit to Brazil for continuing to attack, and they look to have the points in the bag.
78'
L. Advíncula enters the game and replaces A. Corzo.
Renato Augusto has scored a goal for Brazil! Assist by Gabriel Jesus.
Advincula has been summoned to replace Corzo.
A goal and an assist for the Palmeiras man.
THAT WILL SURELY DO IT! Loyola's terrible clearance presents the ball to Gabriel Jesus, who takes his time, waiting for Renato Augusto to peel into space before squaring it for the midfielder to convert.
77'
OFF THE CROSSBAR! Neymar thought for sure that he'd done it. He collected Coutinho's pass on the left, pushed the ball onto his right and unleashed a ferocious effort that bounced off the frame of the goal!
76'
CLOSE CALL! I don't think that the Peru defence realise how close they were to conceding, judging by their indifferent reactions. Dani Alves' cross was inches away from the head of Neymar right in the centre of the box.

Description
75'
J. Sánchez enters the game and replaces A. Polo.
Andy Polo is taken off, and Joel Sanchez replaces him.
Peru are really starting to apply some pressure now, and on the left-hand side, Loyola overlaps and hooks a terrific cross to the back post, where Corzo is also forward, but he plants his header within saving distance of Alisson!
73'
Cueva sticks the ball down the lne for Ruidiaz to chase, but his stabbed cross is blocked out for a corner. The delivery is flicked to the back post by a Brazilian head and touched onto the head of Guerrero, who didn't know much about it as it bounced wide!
71'
The Selecao have had a few problems defending set-pieces tonight, and another delivery finds their defensive line caught in two minds whether to play an offside trap or man mark the Peruvian players.
69'
Peru are really struggling to get the ball out of their own half, and their frustration is encapsulated by Ramos, who tried to pass out of the back but was hounded by Neymar on the near side.
67'
It's been all Brazil for the last few minutes, but they're not really going anywhere with their possession - summed up when Paulinho's first-time ball for Neymar goes out for a throw-in.
65'
Should this result stand, then Brazil's lead atop the Conmebol standings will rise to four points over Uruguay. Peru will stay five behind Argentina in the final play-off berth after 12 games.
63'
What wll Peru's response be? Ruidiaz has been brought on and he's certainly is a talented player, referred to in some quarters as the Peruvian Messi - a comparison he actively distances himself from.
62'
R. Ruidíaz enters the game and replaces A. Carrillo.
Carrillo has faded from contention after an explosive start, and Ruidiaz will replace him.
60'
Some superb footwork from Coutinho down the right-hand side has the defence fooled, but his low cross to the near post is cleared before it can reach Gabriel Jesus. The resulting corner comes to nothing.
58'
Gabriel Jesus has scored a goal for Brazil!
GABRIEL JESUS HAS MADE THE BREAKTHROUGH! That all started when Coutinho went skipping down the centre. He lost his balance and the ball inside the area, but the defence, once again, failed to clear and after a scramble, it broke for the young striker to hammer home!
55'
Brazil are starting to grow into this game. Peru have abandoned the wing play, and are instead trying to thread balls directly through the centre, but it's all routine for the Brazil defence.
52'
OFFSIDE! Peru try a free-kick that has a throng of their players in the clear, but the Brazil defensive line just about did their job, pushing up in time to catch the lot of them on the wrong side of the assistant's flag.
50'
Good start to the second half form Peru and once again, Cueva is looking a real threat. Can he sustain it for longer than 15 minutes this time though? Right now, Brazil have some defending to do.
48'
Chance for Peru! Guerrero holds his head in his hands - he knows that should have been more than it was. The ball fel to him at the near post but he could not get enough power on it to beat Alisson.
46'
C. Cueva gets yellow.
Right away, the referee reaches into his pocket to fish out a yellow card for Cueva, who slid in late to halt Neymar's advance through the centre.
Here we go again!
44'
Guerrero tries to bring down a high ball but he's surrounded by three players and loses out. moments later, Peru have the ball deep on the right-hand side, but the delivery is very poor.
42'
The game is stopped as Peru have a player down on the pitch. He's soon escorted to the side and already looks ready to re-enter the game. The tempo of the game is slowing markedly as we approach half-time.
40'
Peru have got all their players back in their own half to defend as Brazil try, and fail to pass their way through. They switch the ball from theft flank to right but continue to find the door locked.
37'
Another Peru clearance fails to make it far, and Brazil keep the bouncing ball alive. It sets up invitingly for Fernandinho from 20 yards, and he attempts a spectacular half-volley that had all the accuracy of a goal-kick.
35'
FERNANDINHO CAN'T BELIEVE HE MISSED THAT! And to be honest, I can't either. The corner dropped perfectly for the Manchester City man, who was not picked up as he charged through the centre. However, he can't steer his effort on target from six yards!
33'
Peru have some defending to do as Brazil launch a free-kick into the area. It's cleared only as far as Neymar on the left, and his attempted return delivery takes a deflection that had Gallese guessing for a second!
31'
Aquino appears to be penned in by Coutinho near the corner flag, but he holds his nerve and plays the ball off the shins of the Liverpool man to earn his side a goal-kick. Good defending there.
29'
Apart from that one run down the left earlier in the game to set up Paulinho with a shooting chance, we haven't seen a lot from Neymar. He seems to be occupying the same space as some of his teammates.
27'
Guerrero gets isolated down the left-hand side and tries to squeeze a cross in, but Alves defends it well and blocks the delivery. It nearly sparks Brazil on an attack down at the other end, but the ball sneaks out of play.
25'
Carrillo tries to ping a cross into the area for Guerrero at the far post, but the defence deals with it rather succinctly. Peru are back on the ball and forcing Brazil to do a bit of defending now.
22'
Peru will do well to get Guerrero on the ball more often. Cueva's influence has waned since his early salvo, and the striker's balance and hold-up play could prove to be a problem for Marquinhos, who is not the most physical of defenders.
20'
The game has settled down somewhat as Brazil seem to have weathered the earlier storm from Peru. They're settled into a good passing rhythm, and are causing problems with their pace. Just a little more composure needed on the final ball.
18'
GREAT MOVE! Renato Augusto finds his way down the flank past the jockeying of Loyola, and hooks a delicious cross into the six-yard area that was begging to be tapped in, but Coutinho could not oblige!
17'
N. Loyola gets yellow.
Loyola takes a piece out of Renato Augusto in midfield and is booked.
16'
Brazil win a free-kick around 35 yards from goal, and Alves stands over it. As he is wont to do sometimes, he takes an ill-advised effort on goal from that distance, and slams it into a defender.
14'
More danger from the home side, who have Carillo causing problems down the left flank again. He turns provider this time, but his cross to the back post for Guerrero is too far off the mark.
11'
SAVED BY THE KEEPER! Neymar goes scampering down the left-hand side, but can't get any change out of Rodriguez. He decides to lay it off for Paulinho, who arrives at full speed and lashes the ball low, but Gallese parries!
9'
Brazil try to hit back at pace, but it appears that they're attacking so fast that their own players don't know what to do next. Dani Alves manages to keep the ball alive thanks to some substandard Peru clearances, but he then launches a cross right onto a defender's head.
7'
OFF THE BASE OF THE POST! Brazil are carved apart, and it's that man Cueva pulling the strings again. He exchanges a lovely one-two with Carrillo down the left that sends the winger into the box. He opens his body up to bend it into the bottom corner, but it rebounds off the woodwork!
5'
PENALTY? Cueva is proving to be a handful for the defence and he wrestles his way through a crowd of players, but goes tumbling. The referee had a long look at that one and decides to wave it away.
3'
Renato Augusto gets yellow.
Three minutes in and we already have a yellow card. Renato Augusto was too late and too aggressive going for the ball against Cueva, and he tripped him up, getting booked in the process.
1'
Off we go!
Welcome to Lima for the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier between Peru and the in-form Brazil.
Brazil are on a five-match winning streak and top the table – a position they will retain regardless of the result against Peru, who can climb into seventh with a win. The hosts are coming off a 4-1 win in Paraguay, while Brazil crushed Argentina 3-0 last time out.
Peru were the last side to beat Brazil, but conceding goals has been a problem for them - they've let in 18 in their 11 qualification games. Brazil have scored the most in the South American section with 26.
Brazil (4-3-3): Alisson; Alves, Marquinhos, Miranda, Luis; Renato Sanchez, Fernandinho, Paulinho; Coutinho, Gabriel Jesus, Neymar.
Dani Alves starts for Brazil to earn his 100th cap, while Gabriel Jesus is flanked by Philippe Coutinho and Neymar in the Samba Boys' attacking trio. For the home side, a lot will rest on Paolo Guerrero up front, and they will be hoping that he can repeat his heroics from the Argentina game, where he bullied their defence into earning a 2-2 draw.
And that will do it for the first half from Lima, with no goals between Peru and Brazil. The home side have come the closest, hitting the post through Carrillo. Ricardo Gareca should feel encouraged by what he's seen. You get the sense that there's goals to be had in this. Stay tuned for the restart shortly.
And that will do it from Estadio Nacional, which has witnessed the home team done apart by Gabriel Jesus in the second half. He scored one and set up another to keep brazil four points clear atop the Conmebol standings. Peru are third from bottom, five points outside the playoff places. That's all the time we have, thanks for tuning in!
