We're underway in this Champions League clash.
APOEL have struggled for form even in the Cypriot First Divison, taking just four points from their opening three matches. They've recorded just one victory in their last five matches and were held to a goalless draw by Aris last time out.
Spurs needed to desperately hold on at the weekend to defeat to West Ham at London Stadium. Harry Kane's brace along with Christian Eriksen's strike had put them in command, but Serge Aurier's dismissal left them vulnerable. Javier Hernandez and Cheikou Kouyate set up a tense finale, but Pochettino's men held out for the win.
Tottenham have an excellent chance to string back-to-back victories against the weakest team in Group H. The Cypriot side were brushed aside by Real Madrid in the opener, but will be hopeful of springing a surprise this evening to deny the English club the three points in Nicosia.
Spurs kicked off their European campaign with a convincing win over Borussia Dortmund as a brace from Harry Kane and a strike from Son Heung-min guided them to the three points at Wembley. Mauricio Pochettino's men had struggled at the stadium in their previous contests - therefore he would have been delighted to kickstart their Champions League term with an emphatic win.
Good evening and welcome to the live commentary of the Champions League clash between APOEL and Tottenham.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with the home side.
Tottenham subs: Vorm, Nkoudou, Llorente, Foyth, Walker-Peters, Georgiou, Oakley-Boothe.
APOEL have made four changes from their draw against Aris at the weekend. Jesus Rueda, Vinicius, Roberto Lago and Roland Sallai all come into the fold to take on Spurs this evening.
Dele Alli is still serving his three-match suspension and misses tonight's match for the visitors. He is one of three changes to the Spurs' team from their win over West Ham as Eriksen misses out, while Vertonghen is also suspended following his dismissal against Dortmund.
Kieran Trippier, Son and Harry Winks all start this evening as Pochettino moves Aurier into an advanced position on the right flank, with Sissoko also moving forward behind Kane.
STAT ATTACK! No Cypriot side has ever beaten English opposition in European competition in 12 attempts.
STAT ATTACK! APOEL's only meeting against English opposition came in the 2009/10 Champions League season. They were beaten 1-0 by Chelsea in Nicosia, but did manage to secure a 2-2 draw in their clash at Stamford Bridge.
The players are out on the pitch, so we should be underway shortly.
HALF-TIME: APOEL 0-1 TOTTENHAM
Tottenham hold a 1-0 lead at the break in Nicosia thanks to Harry Kane's strike. Spurs have been far from their best and could have gone behind to APOEL when Igor de Camargo found space on the left, but he struck the bar. Hugo Lloris also had a close call when he smacked his clearance of Davinson Sanchez, but the ball rolled wide of the post. Kane bailed out his team-mates with a fine finish six minutes before the break to cover up the blemishes of the opening period.
The players are back out for the second half, so we should be underway shortly.
FULL-TIME: APOEL 0-3 TOTTENHAM
Harry Kane's perfect hat-trick guides Tottenham to their second win on the bounce in the Champions League. Spurs needed their star man this evening as they were not on form in the first half as APOEL put them under pressure. However, once he found the net the game turned in the visitors' favour and Kane was able to put the Cypriot side to the sword with two fine efforts in the second half to secure the three points.
Thanks for joining our commentary this evening. Until next time, goodbye.
