Leonardo Jardim makes three changes to the Monaco side that drew 1-1 with Toulouse at the weekend, bringing in N'Doram, Grandsir and Falcao. Diop, Bennasser and Sylla are the players that miss out and all three drop to the bench.
Simeone has made just one change to the Atletico side who were held by Eibar last time out, with Lemar dropping to the bench for the clash against his former side. Correa takes his spot on the flanks as the LaLiga giants seek an improvement following just one win in their last four matches.
The famous tune is blaring out of the speakers and both teams are on the field ready for the start of their European adventures.
Atletico are also seeking improvements in the Champions League this year, having finished third in their group last term. However, Simeone's men did win the Europa League to restore some pride and will be encouraged by the fact that this season's final will be played in Atletico's home ground.
After finishing rock-bottom of their Champions League group last season, Monaco have work to do back in the big time this term in what is an extremely challenging group. Home form will therefore be vital for the French principality side but hosting Diego Simeone's Atletico is never an easy task.
Atletico XI (4-4-2): Jan Oblak; Juanfran, Jose Maria Gimenez, Diego Godin, Lucas Hernandez; Koke, Rodrigo, Saul Niguez, Angel Correa; Diego Costa, Antoine Griezmann.
Atletico have been the better side this evening and superbly fought back from behind to take the lead, although the late goal is a real blow for Monaco after the hard work they did to limit the opportunities for the visitors.
Monaco will hope to utilise their strength out wide in the second half as they seek a route back into the game, while Atletico will plan for more of the same and will be encouraged to see Griezmann showing strong form.
Thanks for joining our coverage today. Until next time, goodbye.
Atletico take all three points from their opening group stage game and will look to take that form into their next match against Club Brugge. Meanwhile, Monaco face another huge test as they travel to face Borussia Dortmund.
A very composed performance from Atletico, who fought back from behind after Grandsir had given Monaco the lead. Goals from Costa and Gimenez turned the game on its head and the Europa League champions managed the match masterfully in the second half, quelling any threat with a strong defensive display that the hosts could not break down.
