Hello and welcome to our live coverage of this Serie A match between Inter and Cagliari at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
A fairly even first half, that. Inter took the lead via Martinez's header and briefly threatened to grab another until Cagliari got their act together. The Sardinians have grown into the game yet didn't really get a clear chance to speak of, although Farago and Pavoletti have been lively.
INTER (4-2-3-1): Samir Handanovic (c); Danilo D'Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Miranda, Dalbert; Borja Valero, Roberto Gagliardini; Matteo Politano, Radja Nainggolan, Antonio Candreva; Lautaro Martínez.
CAGLIARI (4-3-1-2): Alessio Cragno; Darijo Srna, Marco Andreolli, Ragnar Klavan, Paolo Faragò; Daniele Dessena (c), Filip Bradaric, Nicolò Barella; Artur Ionita; Marco Sau, Leonardo Pavoletti.
Cagliari stayed positive all match but didn't really threaten Handanovic's goal all game. I Sardi briefly thought they'd stolen a point with Dessena's handball, but it really would have been a robbery if that had been allowed.
Cagliari stay 16th in Serie A on six points, albeit having played a game more than all the teams below them. They need to work on finding the net if they want to stay up this season. That's all for now. Goodbye!
That was entertaining, and comfortable for Inter in the end. Inter took the lead, held Cagliari at arm's length and then finished them off with Politano's wonderful volley.
