Lionel Scaloni's men had a slow start to the tournament, but could be finding their stride after overcoming Venezuela in the last eight. Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring in the 10th minute before Giovani Lo Celso notched the second to secure the victory. La Albiceleste and more importantly Lionel Messi have been quiet thus far, but they will need to rise to the occasion tonight.

Argentina have failed once again on the major stage, while Messi was also off the boil not for the first time in a leading tournament. They will have to pick themselves up for the third-place playoff on Saturday to end their campaign on a high note.

Brazil played out a goalless draw against Paraguay in the quarter-finals. The two teams could not be separated after 90 minutes, forcing a penalty shootout. Brazil held their nerve from 12 yards, scoring four of their five penalties. Gabriel Jesus netted the winning spot-kick, sending the Selecao through to the last four. However, Tite will know that his side will have to be at their best to overcome Argentina to earn a place in the final.
Tite's men are 45 minutes away from the Copa America final. They've not been outstanding, but they've been clinical when it mattered the most. The Selecao have not conceded in the tournament and another solid half is required to keep Messi and company at bay.
