Ginter is unwise in clambering all over Martinez just outside the penalty area, handing Inter a free-kick. It's in prime Kolorov territory...
90' +5
H. Wolf enters the game and replaces M. Thuram.
Gladbach substitution. Thuram is replaced by the Austrian midfielder Wolf, who's on loan from Leipzig.
90' +4
Inter can't create a clear shooting opportunity. They only need one though. Gladbach try to set Hofmann free down the right again for a repeat of his goal but this time the winger is seen off.
90' +2
Inter are huffing and puffing. It'll be incredible if they can find the energy to get a winner here, given the mighty hash they almost made of this. They've still made a hash of it, but they'll undoubtedly take the point at this point.
90'
R. Lukaku has scored a goal for Inter Milan! Assist by A. Bastoni.
L. Stindl enters the game and replaces A. Pléa.
Bastoni definitely didn't mean that assist but they all count. Now can Inter go on to claim all three points?
In the meantime Gladbach try to wind down the clock. Stindl replaces Plea up front.
GOAL! INTER 2-2 GLADBACH! Lukaku grabs his second of the game and saves Inter's bacon! Kolorov sends the corner in and Bastoni's header is heading off-target until Lukaku arrows it into the top left corner at the far post!
88'
The goal is given! Gladbach lead with two minutes to play and Inter must be kicking themselves. Another goal isn't beyond the hosts but they have to move quickly.
86'
The officials are making us wait an awfully long time before confirming the goal. What's the hold-up?
84'
J. Hofmann has scored a goal for Borussia M'gladbach! Assist by A. Pléa.
GOAL! INTER 1-2 GLADBACH! Gladbach have surely stolen the win! Hofmann latches onto Plea's flick on and darts into the box from the right. Handanovic ventures out to close the angle but Hofmann fires it under the keeper's legs and into the net! Wait! VAR are checking the goal...
It looks like the moment in question is whether Hofmann was offside when Plea touched the ball. He was onside earlier in the move...
82'
S. Handanovič gets yellow.
Handanovic is booked for leaving Plea on the turf. This game has certainly livened up in this second half.
Minute
Description
80'
Gladbach are getting bolder by the minute as they sense the potential of a smash-and-grab win. A Hofmann free-kick goes out for a corner which Hofmann also takes. Inter clear and Lukaku is offside from Barella's pass.
79'
A. Bastoni enters the game and replaces I. Perišić.
M. Brozović enters the game and replaces C. Eriksen.
Eriksen's game is also over. Not sure about that one. Brozovic is on for him.
Inter make some more changes. Perisic is replaced by Bastoni in what looks like a straight swap.
78'
Lukaku shows some frustration to D'Ambrosio as D'Ambrosio wafts a lazy pass straight out of play for a Gladbach goal-kick. The defender chose the difficult option there when it was far easy to pop the ball straight to Lukaku.
76'
Gladbach win what must be their first corner of the game as Plea's shot in the box is blocked. Inter manage to get in the way of Neuhaus' effort, and Darmian tumbles over just outside Gladbach's box in the aftermath but it's no foul.
75'
Gladbach substitution. Herrmann, a midfielder, is on for Embolo.
74'
P. Herrmann enters the game and replaces B. Embolo.
73'
Lukaku shows great strength and skill to hold up the ball and angle it out to Perisic wide left. Perisic's high cross is no great shakes but Inter still get a corner out of the move.
72'
Perisic is punished for a late tackle on Embolo. Inter are starting to lose their way a bit.
70'
Gladbach look buoyed by being back on level terms. The visitors make progress down the right through Hofmann but weirdly elect not to shoot, opting to keep possession instead. It isn't the right decision as they lose out soon after.
69'
Eriksen gets sight of goal from distance again. The outcome is the same. Gladbach need to be more wary of giving the Dane so much space to shoot.
68'
C. Kramer gets yellow.
Kramer gets a yellow card for clipping the foot of Martinez as he popped the ball on to Eriksen. Eriksen lashes an effort over the bar in anger from outside the box.
65'
S. de Vrij gets yellow.
De Vrij finds his name in the book for bringing Embolo down with a scything challenge.
64'
Gladbach scarcely deserve to be on level terms. Inter have been the better side all game. Now the hosts will have to find a second wind.
63'
Penalty goal scored by R. Bensebaïni for Borussia M'gladbach!
GOAL! INTER 1-1 GLADBACH! Bensebaini steps up to take the penalty. The Algerian swishes it towards the bottom right corner with his left foot. Handanovic guesses the right way but can't keep it out! Gladbach have equalised!
59'
The buccaneering right wing-back Darmian faces the wrath of the offside flag, not for the first time this game. Now there's a man who takes his brief of getting forward seriously.
55'
Vidal is penalised for a foul in midfield and Inter aren't happy. Thankfully for the officials Hofmann's free-kick isn't great.
53'
Inter are starting to look very confident, Lukaku in particular. Darmian's shot from the centre of the box is blocked, and Lukaku rattles another shot off another Gladbach defender inside the penalty area.
51'
Let's see how Gladbach respond to falling behind now. Bensebaini wins a free-kick as Darmian's overeager in closing him down.
49'
R. Lukaku has scored a goal for Inter Milan!
GOAL! INTER 1-0 GLADBACH! Gladbach can't fully clear Perisic's cross. The ball comes in again and Martinez nods off-target when it looks easier to score! D'Ambrosio picks up the pieces, Darmian's shot is blocked and it rolls to Lukaku who taps home from close range!
48'
Kolorov gallops foward from centre-back and feeds Perisic wide left. From it...
46'
L. Martínez enters the game and replaces A. Sánchez.
Inter make a change at half-time. Martinez comes on to replace the muted Sanchez.
We're underway now in the second half. It won't be hard for Martinez to have a greater impact on the game than Sanchez had.
45' +1
Gladbach's free-kick isn't worth writing home about. That'll be that for the time being.
HALF-TIME: INTER 0-0 BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH
45'
There'll be just the one added minute in this first half. Barella gives away an ill-advised free-kick on Thuram near the left touchline.
43'
Inter are passing around at the back but aren't getting anywhere in particular. Gladbach are a well-drilled outfit off the ball.
39'
Eriksen drifts wide left and plays a one-two with Lukaku, going down on the edge of the box. The referee isn't interested in the slightest. Eriksen's increasingly putting his stamp on proceedings though.
37'
Gladbach are growing into the game, even if they're still yet to have a shot on goal. The visitors hound De Vrij at the back, blocking off his passing angles, but the Dutchman successfully manages to play his way out.
35'
Lukaku slips into a challenge and crashes into Embolo. The Belgian apologises and accepts the inevitable Gladbach free-kick.
33'
The corner comes in and Lainer is able to just beat Lukaku to the header. Gladbach go up the other end and briefly cut Inter open with Lainer crossing first-time for Plea. It's a touch too far ahead of the Frenchman for him to reach though and Inter escape.
31'
Lukaku takes a direct all down and lays off straught to Eriksen who powers towards the box. The Dane eventually shoots and wins a corner for Inter.
29'
Eriksen spots Darmian making a run inside and finds him with a fantastic pass. Darmian clips the ball into the box but the Italian is just offside.
27'
Inter keep things tight for a moment or two, making Gladbach work off the ball. Gladbach have created precious little but they're proving hard for the hosts to break down.
25'
Embolo barrels straight into D'Ambrosio when the centre-back thinks he has time on the ball, cleaning D'Ambrosio out. It's an obvious foul. Embolo smiles sheepishly and generously helps his opponent up.
24'
Vidal protests as Bensebaini plays the ball straight into the Chilean's raised arm. The free-kick goes Gladbach's way.
22'
Gladbach find themselves back on the ball but Lainer wastes it with a rotten cross straight to an Inter player. The visitors are working hard but haven't quite clicked going forward yet.
20'
Sanchez approaches the box from the right and finds himself blocked off by several Gladbach defenders. Darmian takes the throw and Gladbach successfully push Inter back until Kolorov punts an over-ambitious pass out of play.
19'
Gladbach put together a decent move which ends with Thuram pushing over Darmian near the touchline. Inter happily take the free-kick.
17'
D. D'Ambrosio gets yellow.
D'Ambrosio is booked for that challenge on Plea. It wasn't the prettiest.
D'Ambrosio's foul on Plea eases the pressure on Gladbach. They've been under a lot of it at the start of this match but have managed to hold firm so far.
16'
Neuhaus fluffs his attempted crossfield ball to Lainer and Inter regain possession. Lukaku passes out wide to Perisic who crosses in low. The Croatian can't find a teammate in the box despite several men in black and blue lurking there.
15'
Vidal challenges for a header with Embolo and the Gladbach man comes off the worse. Gladbach get the free-kick and the chance to keep the ball themselves for a while.
13'
Eriksen goes straight for goal from the free-kick. There's a decent amount of pace on the strike but not enough to prevent Sommer from catching it. Gladbach have barely got out of their own half in this opening quarter of an hour.
12'
It's all one-way traffic at the moment. Darmian crosses in from the right and Sommer rises high to claim it. Vidal is tugged down by Neuhaus shortly after in the middle of the pitch.
10'
A Gladbach attack breaks down and Sanchez and Lukaku spring forward on the counter. Lukaku looks left for his teammate but Lainer is there to block the cross and clear.
8'
Inter are on top at the moment. Sanchez tries to dribble his way through the middle of the pitch but Ginter makes a timely interception to prevent the Chilean from entering the box.
6'
Vidal wins a free-kick down the right flank as he's fouled by Embolo. Kolorov swings it in with a swish of his left foot and Gladbach head it away.
5'
Perisic beats two Gladbach defenders down the left and crosses high in the box. It's over the top of Lukaku but Darmian arrives at the far post to get his head on the end of it. The wing-back can't keep his header down though.
3'
Inter are dictating the play here early on. Lainer sticks a foot in to put the ball out for an Inter throw-in.
1'
We're underway here in Milan!

Inter start their first campaign back in the Champions League since 2011/12 by hosting Germany's fourth best side last season Gladbach. Antonio Conte's team showed their potential by reaching the Europa League final last summer. They'll want to show they can cut it back at the highest level with a win here.
Gladbach, meanwhile, are back in this competition for the first time since 2016/17. Although they are on paper the weakest team in Group B, that might be underestimating Gladbach's threat. Marco Rose's men will be keen to show they're no pushovers in what is a tough-looking group.
The two sides are out on the San Siro pitch. Inter are in their usual black and blue home kit. Gladbach's first kit is all-white so there's no need for them to change. Handy, that.
It's all square at half-time then in a game that hasn't really caught fire yet. Inter have shown flashes of fluidity, coming closest when Eriksen's shot was blocked and Lukaku dragged wide. Gladbach look up for the game but haven't created very much of note.
Inter now travel to Shakhtar next week while Gladbach host Madrid. There's still plenty of football to go in this group but it's starting to shape up nicely already. That's all for now. Goodbye!
