The Colombian then steers a first-time throughball into Pessina’s path, and he slides his close-range effort into the bottom-left corner. 2-0.

Hello and welcome to live match coverage of the Coppa Italia semi-final second-leg clash between Atalanta and Napoli at Gewiss Stadium.
After their goalless draw with Napoli in the first leg, Atalanta drew 3-3 in their following Serie A game against Torino. Gennaro Gattuso’s team, meanwhile, lost 2-1 on their trip to face Genoa in the league.

NAPOLI (4-3-3): David Ospina; Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Nikola Maksimovic, Amir Rrahmani, Elseid Hysaj; Eljif Elmas, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Piotr Zielinski; Hirving Lozano, Lorenzo Insigne, Victor Osimhen.
ATALANTA SUBS: Marcelo Sportiello, Francesco Rossi, Mattia Caldara, Matteo Ruggeri, Davide Ghislandi, Mario Pasalic, Ruslan Malinovskiy, Viktor Kovalenko, Aleksey Miranchuk, Josip Ilicic, Sam Lammers.
NAPOLI SUBS: Alex Meret, Mario Rui, Nikita Contini, Davide Costanzo, Diego Demme, Stanislav Lobotka, Fabian Ruiz, Karim Zedadka, Andrea Petagna, Matteo Politano, Antonio Cioffi.
The home side are struggling for form heading into this must-win match, failing to win in any of their previous three games. In that time, Atalanta have also conceded six goals. Thus far this season, La Dea have met Napoli twice in all competitions and are yet to beat Gattuso’s team. Last season’s Coppa Italia winners, on the other hand, have not been firing on all cylinders in recent weeks, winning just two of their last six fixtures. However, after Atalanta failed to score an away goal in the reverse leg, Napoli may fancy their chances of securing their place in the final for a second consecutive season.
The teams are out, and kick-off will soon be upon us here at Gewiss Stadium.
Gasperini will be delighted by his team’s efforts so far and will hope for much of the same after the restart. Muriel, Pessina and Zapata have caused Napoli real problems because of their pace and clever link-up play, while De Roon and Freuler have controlled proceedings in midfield. Gattuso, on the other hand, will want to see more fight in the second half. Osimhen has been far too isolated thus far, and the visitors will need to get Insigne and Lozano in an around the Nigerian if they are to launch a comeback.
That brings an end to our coverage of the Coppa Italia semi-final second-leg clash between Atalanta and Napoli at Gewiss Stadium. Thank you very much for joining us. Goodbye!
After their semi-final triumph, Atalanta return to Serie A action with a trip to face Cagliari next time out. Napoli, on the other hand, host Juventus at Stadio San Paolo as they look to bounce back.
