Tel scuffs a volleyed shot from the centre of the box, following a clever nod-down by Goretzka, and Riemann is on hand again to gather the ball.
89'
I. Ordets gets yellow.
A foul on Ibrahimovic brings about a yellow card for Ordets.
88'
Another chance goes astray for Ibrahimovic, as Riemann collects the youngster's headed effort in his bottom-right corner - it just lacked a little pace.
86'
A brief moment of concern for Nagelsmann is assuaged when Upamencano peels himself off the turf with a grimace, having apparently picked up an injury: the French defender is fit enough to carry on.
85'
P. Osterhage enters the game and replaces P. Kunde.
Kunde is now replaced, with Osterhage coming on instead.
Coman tries his luck from the right side of the area again, but is once more inaccurate with his shot, which flies over the top-right corner.
83'
Blind sees a left-footed shot from outside the box comfortably saved in the centre of the goal by the well-positioned Riemann.
81'
Though Davies concedes a corner, Bochum fail to make anything of a rare set-piece opportunity - they are now a well-beaten side.
79'
M. Tel gets yellow.
Arriving a split-second late into a midfield challenge with Kunde earns second-half substitute Tel a booking.
78'
Clearly off balance, Coman slashes a 15-yard shot high, wide and not very handsomely off target.
Minute
Description
77'
A. Ibrahimović enters the game and replaces L. Sané.
Sane is the latest big name to be rested by Bayern with the points now in the bag, as young Ibrahimovic is given an opportunity to impress.
75'
Asano fires a shot from the centre of the box high and wide to the right of Sommer's goal, as a rare Bochum opening is spurned.
74'
GNABRY GRABS THE THIRD! Having brushed himself down after being felled in the box, Gnabry steps up to the penalty spot and steers a shot into the bottom-right corner, sending Riemann the wrong way! It's now 3-0 to the home side, and there's really no way back for Bochum!
73'
Penalty goal scored by S. Gnabry for Bayern Munich!
70'
Tel has made a lively start since springing from the bench, but his cross from the right towards Coman at the back post has a little too much zip on it and only brushes the latter's hair on its way behind.
68'
S. Ganvoula enters the game and replaces P. Hofmann.
T. Asano enters the game and replaces S. Zoller.
G. Holtmann enters the game and replaces C. Antwi-Adjei.
Finally, Antwi-Adjei Gerrit finds himself withdrawn as Holtmann is introduced.
Going for broke now, Bochum make a triple substitution. First, Zoller is replaced by Asano.
Ganvoula comes on for Hofmann up front.
67'
M. Tel enters the game and replaces E. Choupo-Moting.
D. Blind enters the game and replaces J. Musiala.
Nagelsmann wastes no time in making two more changes. First, Musiala makes way for the more defensive option of Blind.
A quiet shift for Choupo-Moting is brought to an early end; Tel is the striker's replacement.
64'
K. Coman has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by J. Musiala.
BAYERN GO TWO UP! Left in plenty of space on the right side of the six-yard box, Coman takes one touch to control Musiala's low pass across the area and plants the ball between the unfortunate Riemann's legs! Surely that's that: it's now 2-0 to the champions!
Musiala picks out Coman at the back post with a precise pass, as Bochum's defence are drawn to the ball.
62'
A burst of energy sees Bayern earn a corner when Gnabry's attempt is saved by Riemann, after which Sane also has a shot stopped.
60'
K. Coman enters the game and replaces João Cancelo.
It is Cancelo who gives way for Coman, as Bayern make their second substitution.
58'
The game has lapsed into a rather tame midfield contest again, as the hosts show little intent to build on their one-goal advantage.
56'
Nagelsmann is engaged in an intense chat with Coman near the touchline, so it's safe to assume the Frenchman will be making an appearance from the bench sooner rather than later.
54'
It's opening up now, as Stafylidis pulls another ambitious effort wide of goal from long range before Choupo-Moting pops up with a header at the other end, which just misses the right-hand post.
53'
Following the corner, Janko swivels to fire a shot at goal from 20 yards, but it is tugged wide of the target.
50'
A fairly tepid tempo at the start of the second half sees the ball cycled about in midfield by both sides. At the moment, Bayern are happy to hold onto their lead.
46'
K. Stöger enters the game and replaces P. Förster.
A. Davies enters the game and replaces T. Müller.
Bayern kick off, and we are back under way in Munich, where both sides have made a half-time substitution.
Bayern goalscorer Muller is withdrawn, as Davies comes on in his place. That will mean a reshuffle for the Bundesliga leaders.
Bochum have replaced Forster with Stoger for the second half.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: BAYERN MUNICH 1-0 BOCHUM
45' +1
A rare Bochum half-chance arrives and disappears just as quickly, as Stafylidis drags his ambitious shot from nearly 30 yards wide of the left-hand post.
43'
For sharing a few choice words with the officials near the touchline, Nagelsmann is shown a yellow card by the referee - all despite his team having just gone in front.
41'
T. Müller has scored a goal for Bayern Munich!
BAYERN LEAD! The hosts are gifted an opener! Under very little pressure midway through his own half, Janko fails to connect fully with the ball and simply plays the ball into Muller's path. At the second attempt, the Bayern skipper manages to get the ball past Riemann, who has desperately advanced to the edge of his area, and finds the back of the net! 1-0 to the champions!
38'
Gnabry and Sane combine well on the right side of the area, but when the ball is then laid off for Goretzka near the penalty spot, the Bayern midfielder leans back on his shot and lofts it far over the crossbar.
33'
Gnabry bursts into the box down the right, but his driven effort is blocked behind for a corner by Stafylidis, who throws himself into the flight of the ball at full stretch.
31'
It's all Bayern now, as the Bavarian giants seek to move out of second gear before the break; they are having most of the ball but lacking a little in terms of penetration. Given their well-documented defensive deficiencies, Bochum are sticking to their task well.
29'
Snatching at his chance when a ball over the top meets his run through the middle, Muller's attempt to chip Riemann is poorly executed and simply lands straight in the goalkeeper's gloves on the edge of the six-yard box.
26'
A long ball up from the back is met by Hofmann's head outside the Bayern box, but under pressure from Upamecano he fails to make sufficient contact to trouble Sommer.
24'
Given a few yards of space to run into down the right, Gnabry drives into a shooting position on the corner of Bochum's box, but his attempt is skewed well wide of the right-hand post.
22'
A raking ball down the right by Kunde almost releases Janko, who had sprinted to reach it near the byline, but Bayern's defence are quick to react and avert the danger.
20'
Riemann spends an age on the ball, as Bochum try to reset their defensive line following a spell of Bayern supremacy. Eventually, the goalkeeper takes his kick, but the visitors remain penned back inside their own half.
18'
Cancelo pops up in the area and beats Riemann to the ball in an aerial challenge, but Masovic then manages to clear the dropping ball away to relative safety. The champions are slowly but surely turning up the pressure here.
15'
A surge down the left touchline sees Antwi-Adjei elude Pavard, but his low cross into the area is then hacked away by Upamecano on the edge of Sommer's six-yard box.
13'
Antwi-Adjei's clumsy challenge on Pavard inside his own half concedes a free-kick to Bayern, but the hosts fail to make anything of it.
11'
Choupo-Moting initiates a rapid counter attack from deep, but when the ball arrives at Cancelo's feet on the left flank, the on-loan full-back hammers an overhit cross straight out of play on the fly.
9'
Bochum enjoy their first sustained spell of possession inside the Bayern half, as 10 red shirts are temporarily forced back to defend the edge of the box.
7'
Choupo-Moting lays the ball off to Musiala on the edge of the area, but the latter's attempt at goal is badly scuffed and merely trickles into the waiting gloves of Bochum goalkeeper Riemann.
6'
Goretzka is clattered by an over-eager challenge from Forster on the edge of the Bayern box, and the home side have a free-kick deep inside their own territory.
4'
Picking up a crossfield ball from Cancelo, Gnabry takes a touch on the right side of the box and then slips through Sane, 10 yards out. The Bayern winger takes too long to get his shot off, however, and Kunde gets back to clear the ball away.
2'
Following a failed raid down the right wing, Sane pulls up with a grimace across his face: it seems he's tweaked a muscle early on, but he soon returns to the fray.
1'
Bochum kick off, and we are under way at the Allianz Arena!
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's Bundesliga clash between Bayern Munich and Bochum at Allianz Arena!
Top of the Bundesliga by a single point, Bayern Munich drew three successive matches following the winter break, so were relieved to beat Wolfsburg last time out and return to the summit. An eventful 4-2 win saw the champions face some 22 shots on their goal, but they held out for a victory which leaves them just above surprise challengers Union Berlin in the standings. Bayern have lost just one of their 35 league meetings with Bochum in Munich, and none since August 1991 - they also won 7-0 in August's reverse fixture.
Bochum moved outside of the Bundesliga's bottom three by winning a fifth straight home match last weekend. After starting the season by taking just one point from their opening eight matches, today's visitors have battled back into survival contention of late, and their 5-2 defeat of Hoffenheim took them out of the relegation places. Coach Thomas Letsch has won each and every one of his home fixtures in charge of Die Unabsteigbaren since taking the reins in September, but his team have lost six of their last seven on the road and were also knocked out of the DFB-Pokal in midweek.
BAYERN MUNICH (4-2-3-1): Yann Sommer; Benjamin Pavard, Dayot Upamecano, Matthijs de Ligt, Joao Cancelo; Leon Goretzka, Jamal Musiala; Leroy Sane, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry; Eric Choupo-Moting.
SUBS: Sven Ulreich, Alphonso Davies, Josip Stanisic, Arijon Ibrahimovic, Mathys Tel, Paul Wanner, Daley Blind, Bouna Sarr, Kingsley Coman.
BOCHUM (4-2-3-1): Manuel Riemann; Saidy Janko, Ivan Ordets, Erhan Masovic, Konstantinos Stafylidis; Pierre Kunde, Anthony Losilla; Simon Zoller, Philipp Forster, Christopher Antwi-Adjei; Philipp Hofmann.
SUBS: Marko Johansson, Keven Schlotterbeck, Kevin Stoger, Danilo Soares, Takuma Asano, Silvere Ganvoula, Gerrit Holtmann, Jordi Osei-Tutu, Patrick Osterhage.
The players are all out on the pitch in Munich, with kick-off now just moments away!
Bochum have lost nine of 10 league games away from home this season, only beating Augsburg, so precedent is certainly not on their side now. Perhaps Bayern could take their foot off the gas with Tuesday's trip to Paris in mind - that may be the visitors' only hope.
It's a case of onwards and upwards to grander things for Bayern next, as they head to Parc des Princes for the first leg of their tantalising Champions League tie against Paris Saint-Germain. Bochum are back in action at home to Freiburg next week, and their relegation struggle goes on.
That's all from Munich today, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
