Frimpong comes off having been denied a late penalty, and Timothy Fosu-Mensah will see out the game at right-back for the hosts.
90' +1
J. Tah enters the game and replaces M. Diaby.
Diaby's been much less effective in the second half, and Xabi Alonso withdraws him for defensive reinforcements in the form of Jonathan Tah.
90'
We're into FIVE added minutes at BayArena, and will Bayern be able to find that all-important goal in the dying stages here?

A. Hložek enters the game and replaces F. Wirtz.
M. Bakker enters the game and replaces A. Adli.

Musiala again engages a plethora of defenders before releasing Sane, but his heavy touch on the edge of the area sees the ball deflect back into the gloves of Hradecky.
80'
Coman attempts to beat Hincapie down the right but loses out to the Ecuadorian left-back, and Coman's frustration sees him foul Palacios who had arrived to recover the loose ball.
78'

76'

Goretzka comes off in Bayern's latest change, and he's replaced by a striker in Mathys Tel.
73'
Penalty goal scored by E. Palacios for Bayer Leverkusen!
D. Upamecano gets yellow.
Upamecano is instead shown the yellow for the sliding challenge just inside the box, and Palacios will have a chance to score his second for the hosts!
GOOOOOAAAALLL!!! What a turnaround!!! Palacios hits almost the exact same shot in the exact same corner, and despite Sommer guessing the right way this time, he can't keep the ball out and it's 2-1 to Bayer Leverkusen! Two VAR-awarded penalties following initial decisions to book Adli for simulation, and just like that, the home side lead inside the final quarter of the game!
70'
Adli attempts to skip over another challenge, this time from Upamecano, but goes down again. The referee's got the yellow card out for simulation once again, but he's had another word in his ear...
69'
A mix-up between Upamecano and Sommer sees the Frenchman send a defensive header beyond his goalkeeper, but the centre-back recovers to pass the ball away with Wirtz closing in!
67'
Goretzka's clipped pass over the top is weighted perfectly for Coman to latch onto, but Andrich slides across to block the ball behind and give Bayern their first corner of the game.
66'
Gnabry has a shot blocked from the edge of the box and Leverkusen try to spark a breakout once more, but De Ligt slides across to scythe the ball out on halfway.
65'
Demirbay steps up from the free-kick and despite having plenty of red shirts to aim at in the box, goes for goal and blasts the set-piece well over the bar!
64'
J. Stanišić gets yellow.
A quick transition of possession allows Wirtz to put Diaby into open space down the right. He drifts inside then looks to release Adli in the same channel, but he has his feet swept from underneath him by Stanisic, who goes into the book after being penalised.
60'
Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso, who of course featured for Bayern during his playing career, will be delighted with his side's second-half showing thus far. They've already had several chances, and Palacios' well-taken penalty has finally seen them capitalise on the many openings they've been able to find without success in the first hour of this game.
56'
J. Stanišić enters the game and replaces B. Pavard.
After conceding the penalty, Pavard comes off for Bayern, and is replaced by Josip Stanisic.
55'
Penalty goal scored by E. Palacios for Bayer Leverkusen!
GOOOOAAALLL!!!! Leverkusen level things up!! Palacios steps up from 12 yards and rolls his penalty into the bottom-left corner, sending Sommer the wrong way and making it 1-1 on the scoreboard! It's no less than the hosts have deserved in this game, and we are back on level terms!
54'
Palacios comes forward on the break for Leverkusen, and passes centrally to Wirtz. He finds Adli in the box, who goes down under pressure from Pavard, but he goes down very dramatically and the referee considers booking him for simulation!
50'
Musiala does well to keep the ball in the box before passing to Sane at its edge, but his shot sails well over the bar and behind for a goal kick.
49'
Adli finds Diaby in space centrally, but the winger takes too long to pick a shot or pass and Kimmich wins the ball back for Bayern!

S. Gnabry enters the game and replaces S. Mané.
K. Coman enters the game and replaces João Cancelo.

Coman's introduction is part of a triple change for Bayern, as Muller is replaced by Jamal Musiala.
45' +2
HALF-TIME: BAYER LEVERKUSEN 0-1 BAYERN MUNICH.
45' +1
We're into two added minutes at the end of this first half.
45'
Davies' cross-field pass is met by Muller in the box, but Hincapie gets goal-side of him before being fouled by the Bayern forward.
43'
B. Pavard gets yellow.
Hincapie comes forward down the left and looks to release Adli, but he's bowled over by Pavard as he passes the ball and the Bayern defender is shown a yellow card, ruling him out the Bavarians' crucial next game against Dortmund.
42'
Wirtz squares to Diaby in space on the edge of the box, but Upamecano's timing is perfect to cut the pass out, and he strides forward on the break for Bayern!
41'
Mane chases a long pass forward from De Ligt, but fouls Palacios as he attempts to control the ball and concedes the free-kick.
39'
J. Frimpong gets yellow.
Strangely, Frimpong is shown a yellow card following that collision, which looked to be a simple coming-together as the Leverkusen right-back pleads his case!
38'
De Ligt clatters into Frimpong on the near touchline, and the pair both hit the deck after a clash of heads on bodies!
36'
Davies attempts to beat Kossounou around the outside and cross, but the hosts' Ivorian defender does well to force a goal kick rather than concede the corner.
35'
Diaby switches play to the left, where Wirtz runs out of room before laying the ball off to an unmarked Demirbay, but his first-time shot from the edge of the area sails over the crossbar!
31'
Diaby drifts inside again and looks to get another left-footed shot off, but Upamecano gets in the way of this one and concedes a corner.
30'
Mane wins possession in the final third and looks to release Davies into the box, but the Canadian is blocked off by Frimpong and Andrich recovers the ball for the hosts!
24'
Demirbay switches play to the left where Adli gallops into space, but his drilled cross into the box is cleared by Davies after Pavard gets in the way.
22'
J. Kimmich has scored a goal for Bayern Munich! Assist by L. Goretzka.
Goretzka did very well to bring that ball down and find Kimmich in a crowded box, and his partner-in-crime did the rest to give the visitors the lead.
GOOOOAAALLL!!! The champions strike first!!! Sane's cross from the right drops for Goretzka, who tees up Kimmich in the box. His first-time finish is on target, but strikes Kossounou on the way through to wrong-foot Hradecky and fly into the back of the net! They've hardly had a sniff so far, but the visitors make use of their first chance to go 1-0 up at BayArena!
21'
Wirtz goes down clutching his ankle for the hosts, but is soon able to resume play as the rain buckets down in Leverkusen.
12'
Diaby nearly beats De Ligt for pace latching onto Wirtz's throughball, but the Bayern defender slides in to knock the ball over the sideline.
11'
Davies attempts to break out of his own defensive third after Bayern head the corner clear, but he's blocked off by Tapsoba and wins a free-kick.
8'
Goretzka charges through midfield and looks to find Muller to his right, but his wide pass is a poor one which Tapsoba intercepts.
4'
Wirtz attempts to dispossess Kimmich inside the Bayern box, but catches the midfielder with a stray forearm and concedes a free-kick.
1'
Mane kicks off for the visitors, as Bayern Munich get us underway in north-western Germany!
Hello, and welcome to live coverage of this fixture in the Bundesliga, as Bayer Leverkusen take on Bayern Munich at BayArena.
BAYERN MUNICH SUBS: Sven Ulreich, Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman, Daley Blind, Ryan Gravenberch, Mathys Tel, Noussair Mazraoui, Jamal Musiala, Josip Stanisic.
BAYERN MUNICH (3-4-1-2): Yann Sommer; Benjamin Pavard, Dayot Upamecano, Matthijs de Ligt; Joao Cancelo, Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Alphonso Davies; Leroy Sane; Thomas Muller, Sadio Mane.
BAYER LEVERKUSEN SUBS: Patrick Pentz, Jonathan Tah, Mitchel Bakker, Sardar Azmoun, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Daley Sinkgraven, Adam Hlozek, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Ayman Azhil.
The teams head out onto the BayArena pitch, and we're just moments away from kick-off here!
Leverkusen sit ninth in the Bundesliga table, after beating Hertha Berlin and Werder Bremen in their last two games. Die Schwarzroten could climb a place to eighth with victory over the champions, which would take them just three points behind Frankfurt in the final European qualifying place.
Bayern's form was patchy in early 2023, drawing three straight January games before losing to Borussia Monchengladbach last month, although they’ve more than recovered and are currently on a three-game winning streak. Having fallen a point behind Borussia Dortmund at the top of the table, the Bavarians need to avoid defeat here to move back to the summit, with their goal difference far superior to that of the black-yellows.
We're back for the action in the second half, and can the hosts break Bayern's resistance to find a goal or two in the next 45 minutes?
Three huge points send Leverkusen up a place in the table to eighth, a point behind Wolfsburg and three behind Frankfurt in fifth. Concurrently, Bayern miss the chance to re-claim top spot in the Bundesliga, losing their game in hand to remain second in the table, a point behind Dortmund. They'll face Die Schwarzgelben in their first game following the international break, and as the 2022-23 season reaches its climax, this result has teed Der Klassiker up as a fixture that could well swing the title into either side's favour.
That's all from us in this game, and what a game it was! Until the next one, goodbye for now.
