P. Cutrone has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by G. Higuaín.
FULL-TIME: AC MILAN 2-1 ROMA
GOAL!!! Milan surely win it at the death! And it's the substitute Cutrone who picks out the bottom right corner from Higuain's glorious pass. It's 2-1 with mere moments remaining.
He might not have broken his duck just yet, but Higuain will have endeared himself to the fans with that clever ball in behind the defence.
90' +3
Wasted! Big, big chance for Dzeko to give Roma the lead, but he drags an untidy finish well wide of the far post.
90' +1
We've entered the first of five minutes of added time at San Siro with Milan and Roma locked at 1-1. An important interception from Kolarov to snuff out a Rossoneri raid means the visitors are still on track to stay unbeaten.
88'
D. De Rossi gets yellow.
No option for the referee but to book De Rossi after the midfielder stepped across Castillejo's path in an attempt to kill the counter.
The hosts' blistering counter-attack comes to nothing as Higuain's shot is blocked. Perhaps not the right option with team-mates in support.
86'
Milan were excellent in the first half but, much like last week, have lost their way as the game has developed. Roma now seem just as likely to go on and grab a winner.
84'
P. Cutrone enters the game and replaces G. Bonaventura.
Milan need points and Gattuso appears to be going for all three. He's thrown on young striker Cutrone and withdrawn Bonaventura.
81'
Samu Castillejo enters the game and replaces H. Çalhanoğlu.
Gattuso looks to get Milan back on the front foot after that reprieve by replacing the influential Calhanoglu with winger Castillejo.
79'
OVERRULED! This time the VAR comes to Milan's aid! N'Zonzi had poked home from a corner for what appeared to be his maiden Roma goal, only for the referee to cancel it out due to a handball.
77'
D. Santon enters the game and replaces R. Karsdorp.
B. Cristante gets yellow.
Substitute Cristante becomes the first man to enter the book in what has otherwise been a fair contest.
Di Francesco mirrors Gattuso's move by replacing one of his full-backs, Santon brought on in place of Karsdorp on the right.
76'
D. Laxalt enters the game and replaces R. Rodríguez.
Calabria robs N'Zonzi and shifts the ball to Higuain, but his left-footed shot flies over the bar. It's been a frustrating night for Pipita.
Rodriguez has been one of Milan's most impressive performers and he earns a rest, with new signing Laxalt stepping in at left-back.
Minute
Description
73'
Milan look to have lost some of their verve following the dual disappointment of Fazio's equaliser and Higuain's goal being chalked off. Everything has become a bit laborious in attack.
70'
More impressive work from Olsen. Having earlier beaten away a hot Calhanoglu shot, this time he gets down low to hold Rodriguez's drive.
68'
B. Cristante enters the game and replaces J. Pastore.
Di Francesco makes his second move of the night, injecting fresh legs into midfield with Cristante replacing Pastore.
64'
OVERRULED! Higuain's goal has been chalked off by the VAR! The Argentina striker looked to have restored Milan's lead when he broke through and beat Olsen, but his foot was marginally ahead of the last defender and it's back to 1-1.
59'
F. Fazio has scored a goal for Roma!
Goal! Roma are level! Donnarumma's punch from a corner comes back into the box and bounces around before Fazio of all people rifles in a brilliant first-time finish. It's 1-1 with 30 minutes remaining.
57'
Donnarumma gets lucky! The keeper is fortunate not to be punished after coming out and failing to get anything on a cross from the right.
56'
Fazio slices behind to hand Milan a corner, which is worked short and ultimately claimed by Olsen. So much of the home side's attack is coming down that left flank.
53'
Brave goalkeeping from Donnarumma and he gets the rewards, sliding in to take the ball off El Shaarawy's toe after scampering way outside his box to blanket the counter-attack.
52'
Delightful from the Rossoneri! Rodriguez, Calhanoglu and Higuain all combine to splendid effect on the left before the latter hits an inviting cross into the area. Kolarov hurries it out for a corner and Roma clear at the second time of asking.
50'
Well, this time Higuain's eagerness to involve himself in play almost costs Milan! He's bundled off the ball in a dangerous area but Dzeko lets him off the hook, curling wide of the left post from the edge of the area.
49'
Higuain is starting to gel with his new team-mates. Milan's advancing midfielders have regularly bounced passes off the striker when he drops deeper to connect the play.
46'
S. El Shaarawy enters the game and replaces Iván Marcano.
No surprise that Di Francesco has changed things around at the break. It appears as though he's shifting to a flat back four with El Shaarawy replacing Marcano for more life in midfield.
Back underway at San Siro with Milan leading Roma 1-0 and looking to register their first points of the new Serie A season.
45' +1
HALF-TIME: AC MILAN 1-0 ROMA
45'
Rodriguez is full of confidence after that assist. This time he whips an enticing cross between Olsen and his defence that is bundled out for a corner, which Roma eventually clear.
43'
Little time left before the interval for Roma to respond. They've been reactive this entire first half, giving Di Francesco plenty of thinking to do at the break. He'll hope his side make it there without further damage.
40'
F. Kessié has scored a goal for AC Milan! Assist by R. Rodríguez.
Superb play on the left from Rodriguez to get in behind, check back onto his right foot and deliver a classy ball across the face that Kessie only had to tap home.
Goal! He teed up a chance moments ago and now Kessie provides the breakthrough at point-blank range! It's nothing more than Milan deserve. They lead 1-0 shortly before half-time.
38'
Kessie storms through the right channel and into the box, before cutting back to Higuain. The forward lays it further back to Bonaventura, whose shot is blocked. Milan should have made more of that.
36'
Roma work some space on the left for Kolarov to cross and it's met by Schick. No trouble for Donnarumma though as he safely holds at the near post.
33'
Calhanoglu's attempted one-two with Higuain on the edge of the box is cut out. The Turkey winger has looked dangerous on his return from suspension.
31'
Beyond the half hour now with the deadlock yet to be broken. Gattuso will undoubtedly be the more comfortable of the two coaches with what he's seen.
29'
Suso unfurls a fine strike from 25 yards off his left and Olsen is up to it with an equally impressive save. Higuain's attempted bicycle kick from the ensuing corner is another matter, though, and he wisely abandons it halfway through the action.
27'
Roma yet to really cause defensive concern for Milan, who are in full control in midfield. De Rossi and N'Zonzi struggling to assert any authority.
24'
Roma have been happy to sit off over the opening 25 minutes and they're justified on this occasion as Biglia fires harmlessly over the bar.
20'
Unlucky for Bonaventura. He was spotted in space in the penalty area, but the ball skimmed off the greasy surface and struck his arm as he steadied for a shot.
18'
Encouraging from Milan! Calabria fires one good sight of goal narrowly over the bar and Higuain quickly follows up that attempt with an arrowed effort towards the bottom left corner that draws a sharp save from Olsen.
15'
Calhanoglu undoes a tidy piece of play on the left flank by dropping his cross well over the head of Higuain. Roma now have a chance to settle into some possession, although there is little urgency about their passing.
14'
Kessie almost muscles his way into space on the edge of the area before the assistant's flag brings an end to the move. Milan certainly the more proactive of the two teams thus far.
12'
Suso's clever ball into the box almost catches the Roma defence unaware, but it just runs beyond the reach of Bonaventura.
9'
Roma goalkeeper Olsen passes his first test, comfortably holding Calhanoglu's low shot on goal from the dead ball.
8'
Dzeko retreats into his own half before brilliantly spreading the ball right to Karsdorp, who turns it over. Calhanoglu is eventually blocked off the ball by Fazio and wins a free-kick in a good position.
6'
Suso tries his luck with a couple of ambitious efforts, but both are blocked. It's been a largely patient start on the ball from both sides.
3'
Milan comfortable in possession during these early exchanges as the sight of club great Kaka on the big screen receives the first ripple of applause.

We're underway as visitors Roma get play started against Milan!
Hello and welcome to our LIVE commentary of this Serie A encounter between AC Milan and Roma!
Milan are just one game into the new season and already the pressure is on to produce. Their fans won't accept a repeat of the collapse that saw them throw away a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at Napoli last weekend, a performance hardly befitting a Gennaro Gattuso side. Here, against the dangerous Roma, they can put that result right and get some precious points on the board.
The Giallorossi, meanwhile, might still be catching their breath from a thrilling comeback of their own last time out. Alessandro Florenzi and Kostas Manolas struck in the final half hour to salvage a 3-3 draw with Atalanta that kept alive their unbeaten start to the campaign.
Let's have a look at how the teams will line up for what shapes as a cracking contest at San Siro.
Milan XI (4-3-3): Gianluigi Donnarumma; Davide Calabria, Mateo Musacchio, Alessio Romagnoli, Ricardo Rodriguez; Franck Kessie, Lucas Biglia, Giacomo Bonaventura; Suso, Gonzalo Higuain, Hakan Calhanoglu.
Milan subs: Antonio Donnarumma, Pepe Reina, Ignazio Abate, Mattia Caldara, Diego Laxalt, Stefan Simic, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Andrea Bertolacci, Jose Mauri, Fabio Borini, Samu Castillejo, Patrick Cutrone.
Roma XI (3-4-2-1): Robin Olsen; Kostas Manolas, Federico Fazio, Ivan Marcano; Rick Karsdorp, Daniele De Rossi, Steven N'Zonzi, Aleksandar Kolarov; Javier Pastore, Patrick Schick; Edin Dzeko.
Roma subs: Daniel Fuzato, Stefano Greco, Juan Jesus, Nicolo Zaniolo, Stephan El Shaarawy, Luca Pellegrini, Justin Kluivert, Davide Santon, Cengiz Under, Bryan Cristante, Ante Coric, Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Just one change for the Rossoneri with Hakan Calhanoglu, who missed the Napoli match through suspension, called in to replace Fabio Borini in the front three. Gonzalo Higuain will certainly hope the Turkey international can supply the opportunities he lacked at Stadio San Paolo.
Eusebio Di Francesco is more ruthless with his starting side, making four changes. Among the inclusions is new signing N'Zonzi, who arrived from Sevilla in the off-season and will join Daniele De Rossi in midfield.
The players are out and kick-off is drawing near at a packed San Siro!
Milan needed to respond to last weekend's loss at Napoli and they've certainly done that across the opening 45 minutes. Kessie got the goal five minutes before the break that the quality of their play richly deserved. Now comes a test of nerve, having dropped all three points from an even stronger position six days ago.
Roma boss Di Francesco, who reportedly injured his hand punching the perspex dugout in celebration of the equaliser against Atalanta, might have to keep himself from hitting the wall in frustration at half-time. The visitors have been thoroughly outplayed, with Dzeko isolated and the midfield easily bypassed. Changes might soon be on the way.
What an ending! Cutrone wins the match for Milan with nearly the last kick. It looked as though they would let a lead slip for the second game running but, after both sides had goals ruled out by the VAR, Gattuso's men stole it at the death to bank three vital points.
It could so easily have gone the other way had N'Zonzi's earlier goal not been ruled out for a handball prior to him stabbing home. Instead, the France midfielder played the part of Roma villain by giving the ball away in the lead up to Cutrone's winner. Any kind of result really would have been a bonus for Di Francesco's side given how underwhelming they were in the first half.
This result will give Milan plenty of much-needed belief, and sees them move within a point of Roma's tally having played one game less. More importantly, the performance was certainly good enough to trouble a top-four rival. Their next assigment, to come after the international break, is a trip to Cagliari, while Roma host Chievo.
That wraps up our coverage of an entertaining night in Serie A. We hope you join us again soon. Bye for now.
